Girls Generation of style: Armoire, and Bonjour Singapore collaborate

Normally when 3 girls meet on a Sunday morning, they talk about fashion. But when Evon (the designer of Malaysian label Armoire), Angelina (the lady behind the Singapore-based super stylish and me (a fashion loving stylist/blogger and a major shoe-holic) met this Sunday, we DID fashion!

With the beautiful chic dresses of Armoire (who is participating in this year's Blueprint) and the unique statement accessories from, I couldn’t help but see how each brand complemented the other to perfection and brought it to life – and we looked in each other’s eyes and cried COLLABORATION.

Ok, what I brought to the party was the vision to see how these two brands could look together, with some help of my styling skills, my shoes collection and of course my now well-known modeling for your amusement :-)

So here’s how our Sunday morning went, read on to see the magic brought to life and learn a few tips on how to wear these gorgeous pieces and transform them from day to night:

P.S. I will be co-hosting and sharing some styling tips at the official launch of this Wednesday (March 14) from 1:30pm till 9pm. The first 30 guests will get vouchers worth S$200 of styling services with me :-) Make sure you RSVP for the event here  and see you there!

Gold and black accessories add drama to this LBD

I'm ready for a date night!

The dress: Armoire is all about great cut, superb fabric and minimal detail. This dress embodies all of that with an edgier version of the LBD which makes it a perfect frock for a night out/cocktail party. The black python booties add on to that modern take on a classic look.

The accessories: While these 12k gold-plated TODESIRE necklaces remain delicate, they scream luxury and retain a contemporary feel which works very well with the dress. But the statement piece has to be the stunning Galaxy clutch from exclusive designer brand Clara Kasavina! You have to see it in real life to appreciate the craftsmanship from the python leather to the hand sculpted metal frame and Swarovski elements. No wonder the brand is a hit with celebs like Beyonce and Rihanna!

A classic dress looks amazing in purple colour for a more summery look

The fit is great as well!

The dress: The engineered dress is flawless! Evon had worked hand in hand with her fabric mill to create this 95% cotton 5% spandex fabric, its stretch-ability, quality and colour. Although available in black and numerous other colours (ranging from khaki to hot pink and tomato red), I picked this violet version which works for day as well as for night. The fit is great and very flattering. Teamed with a beige coloured sandal boots, this look is understated yet not boring.

The picture doesn't do this gorgeous necklace justice!

Just a reminder that I'm not a professional model :-)

The accessories:  To go with the theme, I picked this Nina Nguyen dainty necklace which consists of beautiful amethyst quartz piece and small semi precious stones that complement the dress very well and make it wearable for everyday.

My favourite look of all! love the colours!!!

The colourful SOBRAL accessories look like they were made for this dress!

The dress: this dress is from the same range of Armoire Engineered Series which are made to be simple and flattering for all body shapes. I love the asymmetrical neckline and the blush shade of this one, which is great for a Spring/Summer and fun to accessorize with bright accessories and shoes!

How cute is this bag?

Too cute I say!

The accessories: The SOBRAL adorable necklace and clutch (birthday gift for me anyone?) is just too cute and soooo me! These resin-made pop coloured pieces work magic with the dress to transform it into one of my favourite looks ever: toned-down base with bold pops of colour.

Another colourful yet sexy look... the dress looks gorgeous!

And that necklace...

The dress: I’m loving orange and have recently discovered that it is probably one of the most flattering colours on all skin tones. This dress proves to be sexy, fun and easy to put on for a party night out with the daring neckline and perfect length. To make the colour pop even more, I added my favorite aqua green pumps which make this look more flirty and less femme fatale (i.e. more like me :-)!)

The girls making me laugh! did I mention how fun this was?

The accessories: to bring out the sexy neckline of this frock, I added a stunning Nina Nguyen necklace which has a long chain and a pendant-like coral shell. The intricate 22k gold-dipped chain complements the orange and makes this look very stylish and city-chic.

Look1: All this dress needed is a pop of colour for a fun yet work-appropriate look

This cute necklace goes with almost anything!

Look2: By changing shoes and accessories, this dress becomes glamorous...

Love this necklace... and the bag... in fact everything about this outfit!

The dress: I love how versatile this dress is! Made from silk crepe, it can be easily taken from day to night just by changing accessories. It is modest enough for the office where the cream/mustardy colour combination would be appropriate. But the cut is still cocktail-friendly if you team with statement accessories and add small pops of colour here and there.

The accessories: For a day look, a cute and playful necklace like this BOHM piece works well in adding a more casual feel. The turquoise EMA G.G. handbag and my matching shoes also add some fun and colour to the otherwise pale look. For more elegance and glamour, I replaced the BOHM necklace with this stunning SAMANTHA HOUSE statement necklace for a slight touch of bling and the SOBRAL Metallique bangle  to go with it. The gold shoes complete the look to give all the LBD-clad ladies a run for their money in terms of style.
