Mode in Asia: Curated and eclectic online shopping from Shanghai

A while back it was entirely down to Singapore to hold up the reputation of Asian designers online.

But that’s starting to change, as other parts of the region start to get their online act together.

And nowhere is the fashion e-tailing concept growing faster than in bustling and busy Shanghai.

The business city of China has embraced online in a big way, with the likes of the super curated Bundshop making waves in the West.

Now it’s the turn of Mode In Asia to shine the spotlight on the pan-Asian fashion scene. This newly-launched site is both curated AND eclectic. Two of my favourite words!

It stocks emerging designers from across the region – from Thailand’s LaLaLove London (keep reading to find out how you can win a LaLaLove London top through Bonjour Singapore), to Singapore’s Aijek and Stolen (check out my previous post about this amazing label!).

From quirky party frocks to elegant evening numbers: Mode In Asia offers many choices for the eclectic ladies. Best of all, they are all unique pieces from independent Asian designers!

They’ve even pulled a rabbit out of the immaculately tailored hat by bringing to the table some labels I didn’t know about.

These include Shanghai-based accessories label Miss Deco, the immaculate and feminine J Apostrophe and Bubblemood which does a cool and modern take on kimono tops - one of my absolute favourite trends of the season!

I'm all for the kimonos this season! Love these Bubble Mood pieces
which can add an ethnic twist to a simple jeans and vest.

Sheer and sexy: J Apostrophe pieces talk to the sensual woman...

Miss Deco's accessories use a beautiful contrast of rough and refined
to make gorgeous edgy pieces like this cuff!

But what I love about Mode In Asia is that they have really gone for trying to provide the complete wardrobe for your adventurous professional woman. The labels and the outfits vary in style, so you can find pieces to suit your mood, or a particular theme.

From crazy colourful statement partying pieces (yes, I mean THAT pineapple dress from LaLaLove), to the more muted but elegant dinner party or event dresses (Stolen, Aijek and J Apostrophe), there is something to appeal to every 20 and 30something woman.

And because it is curated, the quality of the pieces and the designers they select is right up there.

Now for those of you who have read patiently. Here comes the payoff.

Mode in Asia has teamed up with Bonjour Singapore to give away a top from rising Bangkok- based LaLaLove London (whom I wrote about here, and which I incidentally saw being stocked at TopShop’s flagship Oxford St store in London on my last trip).

They will be giving away the stunning Mirror Bloom Crop Top, which also happens to be one of my favourite items on the site. So I am extremely jealous.

To stand a chance of winning, all you have to do is go to Bonjour Singapore Facebook page and follow the simple instructions to enter the draw. Good luck. I already hate the winner ;-)

Mode in Asia is offering 20% off to Bonjour Singapore readers!!! Just enter the code: bonjoursg at checkout. Not applicable on sale items.
