Some of the longer term readers might remember I was asked by local eco-label All Things Green and Beautiful (ATGAB) to model their wonderful accessories for their 2012 look book.
The shoot was an eye opener as I spent a full day having my hair teased, my make-up applied and re-applied and most difficult of all - pretending I knew what I was doing. Well now the fruits of my labour have finally arrived, and are here for everyone to see on the ATGAB website. Fame at last!
My verdict on the pictures?
I think I saw something over in the distance. I think it might have been my modeling career disappearing over the horizon :)
Let's just say I don't think I'm quite model material, and as I'm at the wrong end of my 20s you will all be glad to hear that my career in front of the camera won't be a long and prosperous one!
Honestly, my reaction when I saw them was to tell my husband how awful I thought I looked in photos. He told me I looked beautiful. Actually he smirked and told me I was really, really, really, really, really good looking. Thanks Zoolander, you have a lot to answer for.
He followed that up by saying I was beautiful. But he is duty bound by law to say this and if he had said anything different frying pans would have been flying :)
Even if I don't think I look like a model, I really did have an enormous amount of fun doing the shoot. I'm still amazed and flattered that I was asked to front a lookbook and I learned so much about the industry from just this one day.
Anyway, here are a couple of the pictures from the lookbook. You can find the rest on the ATGAB website, which I would urge you to check out as their products are original, stylish and best of all environmentally friendly.
If you missed it first time round you can read all about the photo shoot experience by clicking here.
I think the closing of the eyes was deliberate. I can't quite remember though...haha!
Once again channelling my inner Zoolander. More Powder Blue Steel than Magnum though.
