Zoolander 2: Rana gets a modeling assignment

I've only been in Singapore a few months and things have happened so fast with this blog.

I've met lots of interesting, talented and driven people and really been embraced by local designers and labels.

Now the most exciting thing has happened to me...I've been asked to do a photo shoot for local label All Things Green and Beautiful modeling their latest collection!

Move over model of last collection! It's my turn now ;-)

You might remember ATGAB from this post about their awesome recycled accessories (I loved them so much that I bought my husband a bow tie made from one of my old handbags).

I am a big fan of everything Elaine does - so imagine my surprise when she asked me if I wanted to feature in their latest lookbook!

At first I thought it was a joke, I mean I’m not exactly camera-shy and I do model for my blog but that’s a different story. Modeling for a label and having my pictures printed on their lookbook for a bigger audience is something else. So when I was asked at first I said no, I don’t think I can do it. But Elaine and her stylist didn’t give up and after checking my profile (it was that serious!) and massaging my ego… I humbly accepted.

Standing at just 5ft6in tall I am certainly not model material but I'm hoping my hair will add an extra 4" in height and help me bluff it.

What I'll also need is a few tips on how to work the camera. So if you have any (beyond blue steel) then let me know in the comments section.

Whatever happens, I'll keep you all up to date right here on this blog. From photos of the fitting, to the day of the shoot (Thursday!!!) and hopefully (if it doesn't get canned) the finished pictures.

Wish me luck!

My version of blue steel: unretouched, sans make up and just out of bed.
Think they might need some photoshop for the real shoot!!!
